Every day (or night), droves of fans crowd into game servers and social media to obsess over their favorite franchises. This environment has spawned some of the most talented and pop culture-savvy artists in the world.

Many of those artists are part of Pixel Mafia. Much like the city itself, Pixel Mafia nurtures creativity and ingenuity. It builds bonds between its people and provides opportunity for growth. And that’s what makes Pixel Mafia a family.

Pixel Mafia was founded by Walter de Torres and Coby Chan, who both worked at Microsoft Studios and EA. After witnessing the jaw-dropping 3D design work coming out of Manila, the pair decided to set up shop in the city.

Our studio's extensive experience in producing AAA games guides Pixel Mafia in its quest: to deliver world-class work that is out of this world.

Coby Chan was the Lead Artist at Microsoft Studios and held the position of Outsource Manager for the Gears of War franchise.

He held senior art positions at Black Box and EA Canada, where he shipped titles such as Army of Two, Medal of Honor, Need for Speed, and Skate. Coby is the creative visionary in Pixel Mafia. Always hungry for the next challenge, he is committed to pushing the boundaries of art and design. Every creative aspect of Pixel Mafia, from the work to its branding, is shaped by his vision.

Before that, he was a Group Development Director at Electronic Arts. At EA, he led development teams that shipped titles like Madden, FIFA, Medal of Honor, Sims, Tiger Woods, Fight Night, and Need for Speed. Cool and unfadeable, Walter is the production mastermind of Pixel Mafia.
